2010 NFL Week 2 Predictions and Picks

It's time for my 2010 NFL Week 2 predictions and picks. That's why the game is so great and handicapping is so tough. The NFL is loaded with teams who are completely capable of beating the spread or busting your predictions every single week. With that in mind, there are no Thursday contests this week. So my 2010 NFL week 2 predictions kick off with Pittsburgh at Tennessee on Sunday afternoon. The Titans looked pretty tough in an opening blowout of the Oakland Raiders. But it was the Oakland Raiders. Pittsburgh held off Atlanta thanks to a great showing by their defense in a season opener at home. Things change greatly when the Steelers travel to Nashville without Ben Roethlisberger(serving suspension). In fact, I believe the Titans will roll to a 23 9 victory over Pittsburgh. The Steelers have little success on the offensive side as expected and Chris Johnson piles up 117 more yards in the Titans second straight victory.

The next game on the week 2 NFL schedule seems like a showdown in the making when Miami travels to Minnesota. Miami won at Buffalo in week 1 while Minnesota will be angry after a loss at New Orleans. The Dolphins already picked up an important divisional road win and the Vikings are trying to avoid an 0 2 start. I believe the Vikings will win rather comfortably by a 31 16 final. Brett Favre will toss 2 touchdown passes and Adrian Peterson collects two more on the ground.

My 2010 NFL week 2 predictions and picks move on with Arizona at Atlanta. If there was ever a make or break game for Atlanta, this is it. The Falcons can simply not afford to start 0 2 in a Authentic Kevin Norwood Jersey very tough NFC division. Atlanta will somehow dust off the cobwebs and rebound from a slow offensive showing in Pittsburgh to beat the Cardinals 33 20. Matt Ryan comes to life with 3 touchdown passes and 250 plus yards in the victory. Expect the Falcons defense to also add a score as the Arizona offense continues to struggle to find a rhythm.

Next up on the week 2 NFL schedule is Baltimore at Cincinnati. The Bengals got hammered against New England but can they rebound against a rock solid defense? My answer in this particular week is yes. Cincy bounces back with a 24 20 win over the Ravens in what could be the game of the week in week 2.

Kansas City also visits Cleveland during week 2 of the 2010 NFL season. This game won't have much appeal to those outside of these two particular markets. It's also a tough game to make predictions and picks for considering both teams are usually on the wrong end of scores. I believe Cleveland will emerge with a tough home win thanks to a solid running game. The Browns beat the Chiefs 23 20.

Chicago is at Dallas during the second week of the NFL schedule. My 2010 predictions and picks are not calling for an upset. Dallas will be very angry after a disappointing loss at Washington on Sunday night. The Cowboys won't have an incredible offensive night thanks to a rising Bears defense but it will be good enough for a 23 17 victory. Jay Cutler tosses two interceptions and is limited to 213 yards passing despite many efforts. Tony Romo tosses two touchdown passes one to Jason Witten as the Cowboys improve to 1 1.

The 2010 NFL Week 2 predictions and picks continue with Philadelphia at Detroit. The Lions might be able to muster a good enough defensive effort to overcome the loss of quarterback Matthew Stafford. If Michael Vick starts, the Eagles will have a solid chance to win in Detroit. This game could be a coin toss. In the end, I think Philadelphia emerges with a 23 20 overtime win.

Buffalo might just run into a buzz saw in Green Bay. The Packers aren't going to be very hospitable hosts at Lambeau Field this season. Not with Aaron Rodgers at the helm. The Packers cruise to a 35 14 victory over the Bills. Rodgers tosses three touchdown passes and Ryan Grant adds another. Grant tops 100 yards thanks to the Packers building an early lead and relying on the rushing game in the second half.

Tampa Bay travels to Carolina in what could be an interesting game. I think the Bucs might have a decent shot to pull the upset on the road. Realistically though, I believe the Panthers running game will chew and spit that idea out. DeAngelo Williams runs wild to the tune of 167 yards and 2 touchdowns as Carolina edges Tampa Bay 27 21.

Seattle was a surprising blowout winner over San Francisco last week. This week the Seahawks travel to Denver in NFL week 2. Can Seattle start 2 0? Denver will probably have a little to say about that potential accomplishment. The Broncos will win at home 24 13. Knowshon Moreno runs for 123 yards and two scores in the win.

St. Louis travels to Oakland on Sunday in what could be an interesting game. By interesting game, I simply am suggesting it could be close when the final score is tallied. I certainly don't mean either of these teams is playoff bound or anybody outside their television markets cares about this ugly match up. I think St. Louis might be able to notch their first win under a rising young quarterback. Sam Bradford tosses 2 touchdown passes and the Rams win on the road 17 14.

Houston looks to go 2 0 with a trip to Washington. This could be a defensive showdown between two clubs who know how to shut down opponents. Many times when good defensive teams play one another the score is expected to be low. Sometimes the scoring is a little higher than expected because of turnovers, defensive touchdown and good field position. I look for Washington to hold Women's Kevin Pierre-Louis Jersey Houston off in a thrilling 27 26 victory. Donovan McNabb tosses 3 touchdown passes and throws for 247 yards in the win.

Next up on the NFL week 2 schedule, New England travels to New York to face the Jets. New England looked back to familiar form in week one against the Bengals. Still, a win in New York would be a tough one.

I think Tom Brady Seahawks Kevin Norwood Jersey is on a mission this season and that mission includes a road win in New York. The Pats win 23 17. Brady figures out a way to get it done down the stretch.

My 2010 NFL week 2 predictions and picks continue with Jacksonville at San Diego. The Chargers should be able to get rolling in this contest. Phillip Rivers is good for 285 yards and 3 scores as the Chargers roll 31 20.

The New York Giants also travel to Indianapolis on Sunday night. The Colts won't be thrilled about getting their collective tails whooped in Houston last week. The Giants could run into a very angry Colts team. The only problem is the New York defense might be ready to hand out their own tail whooping. Still, I think the Colts emerge with a very ugly 24 19 win. Peyton Manning will get sacked several times but survive to toss the game winning touchdown pass.

On Monday night of the 2010 NFL week 2 schedule, New Orleans travels to San Francisco. The 49'ers got pounded in Seattle in week Women's Justin Britt Jersey 1. The Saints are the defending champs. I simply don't think San Francisco has the guns to keep up with the Saints. New Orleans rolls to an impressive 27 16 road win. Drew Brees is human with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Frank Gore runs for two scores for the 49'ers in the losing effort.
